How It Works:

  • Ambassadors are typically on the mountain the following hours:
    • Everyday: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • After you get your Day Pass and any Rental Equipment you need, the Yard Sale beginner area straight out in front of the Lodge is the best place to start.
  • Look for an Ambassador in a green and navy Echo uniform jacket. If you don't see one, ask one of the Lift Operators to help point them out.
  • Once you see one, ask them for some pointers or suggestions on what you can do to improve.
  • The Ambassador will introduce themselves and start asking a few questions to get to know you. Things like -
    • Have you skied or snowboarded before?
      • If so, how / where / when was it?
      • If not, awesome! We love first timers.
    • What are your goals for the day?
    • What can we do to make this the best experience we can for you?
  • If you have any questions for them, just ask! No judgment, we were all beginners once.
  • Feel like taking a break? Grab some hot chocolate or a delicious burger in Brothers' Grille or lounge by the fireplace playing a board game in the Lodge. Then, when you're feeling ready, come back out and keep working on ski and snowboard mastery!
  • Did we mention the Ambassadors' tips are free?
  • If you want to find the balance between figuring this whole ski and snowboard thing out yourself and getting by with a little help from your new friends @ Echo Mountain, this is the spot for you!

FAQ

  • Can I drop my kids off and have the Ambassadors watch them?
    • No! While our Ambassadors work with skiers and snowboarders of all ages, they aren't responsible for any one guest and cannot guarantee spending any specific amount of time with each guest.
    • Do not plan to leave your kids if they aren't capable of taking care of themselves on the mountain.
  • What if I really want a lesson?
    • That's great! Lessons are a good way to learn, especially if you're planning to really get into skiing or snowboarding. We just don't offer them at Echo. We'd recommend checking out some of our neighboring resorts for their offerings!
  • How much time will the Ambassadors spend with me?
    • The Ambassadors will rotate through all guests on the mountain looking for some assistance. Some days that's just a handful of guests, and others, it's a lot of people. Just remember, this isn't a lesson!
    • If you have any specific questions, they're never too far away!
