Make your Spring Break Spring Breeeezy with the below tips and guidelines on what to expect for your visit to Echo Mountain! Some choose white sand, while others choose white snow. We think you’ve made a great choice and we want you to have the best Spring Break yet!

ADVANCED RESERVATIONS

Skiing and Snowboarding Lift Ticket Reservations: HIGHLY Recommended! Buying tickets online will save you a couple minutes at the Front Desk, but more importantly, it'll guarantee you spot on the mountain! On busy days (like Spring Break) we will sell out of lift tickets so if you don't make a reservation in advance you could be turned away when you arrive. Book online, in advance for the best pricing and to guarantee your spot! We also highly recommend booking Rentals online ahead of time as well. Our rentals can book up very quickly and once we sell out you will have to pick up rentals from a shop on your way up to the Mountain.

Plan ahead and arrive early if you are renting equipment and/or clothing from us. The rental process is personal and takes some time, so knocking it out early in the day will give you the most time on the mountain.

Tubing: Reservations Required. Make sure to check our website for availability. We do sell out- even if it looks like there's a lot of open spots on the day you're planning to visit, book in advance to ensure you have the optimal time that works with your schedule. Check our website for all the details on what to expect, rules, policies and everything else.

Tubing Waivers: Every tubing guest is required to have a signed waiver, kids included! Adults are able to sign for themselves and minors but they cannot sign for another adult. If you're planning on coming with a large group of adults make sure to share the waiver link with each other. Having signed waivers ahead of time will make the check-in process quick and painless!

TRANSPORTATION

Our parking lots will reach capacity on busy days. We always recommend carpooling, either with your own vehicle or a rental. If you're renting a vehicle, make sure you know what you're getting. DO NOT get a Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) vehicle like a Camaro or a Charger. Always choose the 4WD or AWD if available and demand it if snow is in the forecast. Trust us, it's the law and no one's budgeting for a ticket or an accident.

If you are looking for shuttles, we have you covered! We partner with a local shuttle company, Ride Experiences, to run weekend shuttles that pick up and drop off at The Origin Hotel. The shuttle runs Friday-Sunday (+ select holiday Mondays) and make multiple trips to and from Echo! The shuttle ride takes about 45 minutes depending on time of day, traffic, weather, etc and is $22 each way. Tickets are sold as one-way trips, meaning you will need to purchase a ticket for your trip to Echo and a ticket for your return trip to The Origin. Make sure you book online in advance; seats are limited, and tickets can sell out quickly!

Rideshares like Uber or Lyft are super convenient when getting dropped off BUT they can leave you stranded. If this is an option you're considering, make sure you arrange a ride home before you arrive at Echo. Relying on Uber or Lyft to come pick you up does not qualify as a ride home plan. They will leave you stranded if there is bad weather or if it is inconvenient to come pick you up.

LODGING

Looking for a place to stay? Not only do we offer a shuttle to and from The Origin Hotel but we also have an exclusive room rate through the end of March! Echo Mountain customers are elgible for a $99 room rate, all you have to do is book a lift ticket or tubing reservation with us and there will be a link in your Echo Mountain receipt to book your stay with The Orgin!

LIFT TICKETS

Buy online through our Ski + Snowboard Lift Tickets page to get the best price, save a few bucks and shave a couple minutes off your chat with our team at the Front Desk, but make sure you read through the website to know what all you're buying before you finalize that purchase.

RENTALS

As mentioned above, our rentals will book up very quickly. Renting your gear online ahead of time is the easiest way to guarantee your equipment and expedite the check-in process! On busy days, it is possible that we may run out of gear or clothing, so if you plan for walk up rentals on busy days it is likely you’ll be turned away.

The process is also very personalized and can take time, especially if you've never worn ski or snowboard equipment before. If we are sold out on rentals or you want to skip the wait and just get your ticket to hit the mountain, check out our friends at Boone Mountain Sports or rent somewhere in town before heading up.

TERRAIN + CONDITIONS

Echo's terrain is mostly intermediate. There are some beginner and some expert trails, but most of our terrain is somewhere in the middle. Skiing and snowboarding are very difficult. Most of our terrain is considered more advanced... meaning, it takes practice! No chairlift ride is worth an ambulance ride. Don't ruin your break with a trip to the hospital.

Come in with the right expectations and bring the right attitude, and you'll have a great time!

We groom every morning, but be sure to check nearby weather stations for forecasts to know what to expect for the day of your visit.

LEARNING TO SKI OR SNOWBOARD?

We don't offer traditional lessons, but we all need a little help from time to time. Come meet our Echo Mountain Ambassadors. Find them out in the beginner area ready to give pointers, tips, and suggestions on how to get you moving towards the next level. It’s not a replacement for a lesson, but they are here and ready to help.

GOOD EATS AT BROTHERS’ GRILLE

This is not ski area cafeteria food. We're pretty proud of our food and drinks, but keep in mind everything's made to order. During your spring break, lines can be a bit longer than usual, but have no fear, our team will be hustling to get you your order as quickly and deliciously as possible!

You are always welcome to bring some snacks, but keep the microwaves and crock pots at home. Absolutely no outside alcohol is allowed. We have you covered!

DRINKING AND SMOKING

As we mentioned, no outside alcohol. We have a great selection of beers on tap and a variety of drinks to help you celebrate your day on the mountain.

As a courtesy to all our guests, please smoke your vapes and cigarettes only in the parking lot. Though it's "legal" in Colorado, we follow Uncle Sam's lead and do not allow the smoking of recreational and medical marijuana on property.
